We’re going on a Bear Hunt Lesson Activity
The much-loved family favourite, We’re going on a bear hunt is a teachers favourite. The book takes children on an adventure as they join in the family’s excitement as they wade through the grass, splash through the river, squelch through the mud and brave their way through the swirling, whirling snowstorm in search of a bear. What surprise awaits them in the cave on the other side of the dark forest?
Read the story, then invite students to create their own bear mask with pencils, paints and/or other available craft items. Provide paddle sticks to attach to the back of the mask for a handle or elastic knotted through the holes on each side.
Let the children go on their own bear hunt around the playground or park.
